Job summary
We are currently working with local authorities within Lancashire who are seeking additional tutoring support for their students with learning difficulties in Maths and English.We are keen to hear from inspiring QTS, HLTA, Learning Mentor and TA who are considering a career within education. Ideally you will have your DBS on the update service, or willing to acquire one.

Working with small group cohorts from 1:1 - 1:6
Creating lesson plans tailored to the student's learning style
Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system
Deliver engaging sessions to support a range of learning styles
Drive measurable outcomes from each session to measure impact
Work collaboratively with educational/care stakeholders ensuring student support.
Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.Desired experience:
Experienced in tutoring one to one or small groups of pupils who require additional educational or pastoral support
Experience in taking supervision and correction constructively
Experience working in inclusion units, special settings or alternative provisions
Experience in working with students with SEN, children with undiagnosed SEN, disengaged young people or looked after childrenResponsibilities:
Demonstrate academic competence in the subject area(s) and build a curriculum, creating lesson plans individual to the student's learning style
Assessing student progress, identifying areas for improvement and recording attainment levels using our internal reporting system
Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research and other academic tasks
Assisting students in understanding key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom
Contribute to students' learning, growth and advancement
Maintain a growth mindset toward student learning and teaching practice
Work collaboratively with schools, foster carers and social workers in order to ensure the student receives tailored support
Working in accordance with the KCSIE and safeguarding guidelinesEssential qualities:
Inspirational, effective & flexible communications skills
Competent IT skills, access to laptop/computer, audio and visual
Stable broadband & internet connection
Ability to develop meaningful relationships, encourage and motivate students.Pay scale: £20.00 - £25.00 P.A.Y.E
