Job title: Secondary Teaching Assistant General supportHours: Full time, Monday Friday 8am - 4pm
Pay: £90 - £120 per day (depending upon experience)
Start: April 2024
One of our lovely client Secondary schools are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support across KS3 and KS4. The role will be a general support for the class and supporting the class teacher with the daily running of the class.
Responsibilities
Assisting the class teacher in delivering exciting and engaging lessons.
Supporting students on a 1:1 basis when needed, ensuring individual needs are met.
Organising and leading various activities and group work sessions.
Assisting with classroom management, organisation, and tidiness.
Accompanying the class on school trips and ensuring students' safety at all times.
Implementing a caring and nurturing environment that promotes learning and overall development.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
A genuine passion for working in education and supporting children's development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
A patient and nurturing approach towards children.
A willingness to learn and work under the guidance of the class teacher.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
The successful application will need to have an enhanced child workforce only DBS registered on the update service, and provide successful references. Vetting checks will need to be complete in order to start the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
