The Global C&I Purchasing and Planning Manager position is a senior level position to lead a team of Planners in a busy book and ship environment to get the stock to the customers in 24 hours. The role requires an individual with high energy who is commercially focused: customer first.
The position focuses on forecasting and inventory strategies as well as developing and mentoring a team.
What Youll Do
* Lead a team of Planners and Buyers
* Responsible for all forecasting within the product ranges
* Responsible for all inventory management of the product ranges including E&0
* Actively participates in all financial forecast meeting. Ability to effectively interpret and communicate risks and opportunities
* Leads SIOP review with all key Commercial and Operational stakeholders
* Work closely with Commercial teams to execute on time delivery of projects
* Provide lead time data to the Commercial teams
* Problem solving demand issues
* Provide Purchasing team with an annual demand plan for suppliers to plan capacity
* Works with the warehouse on creating and reviewing space plans
* Generates internal management reports for all metrics
* Holds quarterly reviews for lessons learnt to continue to drive improvement
* Participates in Kaizen events and continuous improvements sessions
* Deputise for the Supply Chain Director in their absence
* Supports other locations with planning and system related projects.
* Key metrics include but are not limited to OTD, OTIF, Inventory, Forecast accuracy, Stock availability
* Prepares for and participates in annual inventory audits
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, APICS certification (CPIM) preferred
Proven background in planning, coordinating, scheduling, inventory management and production control experience preferably in an FMCG environment
Management experience
Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement teams and activities
Expert understanding of Oracle (or similar) MRP based planning system.
Expert capability in modern planning concepts and practice
Demonstrated Material related analytical skills such as setting up a forecast, safety stocks, shortage lists, material assessment reports, etc.
Abilities to handle multiple competing priorities, such as prioritizing orders running through the same work centre due on the same date with capacity constraints, minimizing inventory and lead times, etc.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization and maintain confidentiality to people outside the organization.
Requires sense of urgency, and the ability to provide detailed information when needed
