2D and 3D CAD Technician up to £30K, Days, 8am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, Permanent position, 28-day holiday, Quarterly and yearly production bonus, plus Overtime paid at x1.5 after 40 hours.Location of the 2D and 3D CAD Technician: Birstall
One of the UKs leading Vehicle Converters require a Graduate, Skilled 2D and 3D CAD Technician to join their team as the company continue to grow in its sector. The company operate in a clean modern working environment and the team is made up of loyal and long serving designers and technicians with a willingness to share their specialised knowledge.
Duties of the 2D and 3D CAD Technician:
Create detailed CAD drawings and designs using software such as AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specification.
Review and interpret technical drawings for manufacture.
Make necessary modifications to existing drawings based on project changes or client feedback.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all CAD drawings and designs.
Maintain organized files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
Production of digital parts ready for manufacture.
Programming and operating CNC machines including Laser Cutters (Fibre and CO2), CNC Routers and 3D Printers.
Recording modifications and a log of digital models.
Key requirements for the 2D and 3D CAD Technician:
Preferably have at least 6-month experience in 3D CAD Designer roles.
Experience in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks Professional and AutoCAD)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Have a flexible approach to work which is sometimes outside normal working hours.

Salary up to £30K overtime paid at time and half after 40 hours.
