Job Summary:
Are you passionate about early childhood education and looking for a flexible teaching assistant role in a nursery? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our nursery, based within a well-established primary school in South Sheffield. This is an ad hoc, part-time position with the opportunity to work flexibly around existing commitments, but a minimum availability of 3 days is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in all aspects of nursery management, including daily routines, nappy changing, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Support and engage with children in their social, emotional, and educational development.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children in your care.
Collaborate with the nursery staff and contribute to team meetings and planning.Qualifications:
Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in childcare or equivalent (must count towards staff-to-child ratios).Requirements:
A passion for working with young children and helping them develop.
Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis.
Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to take on diverse responsibilities within the nursery.Location and Transport:
The nursery is conveniently located in a central part of South Sheffield, with excellent public transport links, making it easily accessible by bus or tram.
