Job summary
Excellent opportunity for a Senior / Managing Estimator to join to join the work winning department of a highly successful contractor based in Crawley. £80K - £100k plus package.Our client is a well established and quickly growing Contractor who specialise in providing services across multiple packages such as partitioning , suspended ceilings, dry lining, tall wall construction and fire protection across many sectors such as Commercial, Education Residential and Healthcare, boasting many high profile projects an enviable client base across the South East.
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to add to the work winning team with the addition of a Senior / Managing Estimator who will report directly into the Directors.
Candidates will be responsible for production of tenders to support the work winning strategy and growth goal for commercial work. they will work with all stakeholders of the tender process including the internal team, suppliers, manufacturers, and clients while reporting tender position to the department manager.
Duties include:
* The production of commercial tenders including the production of bills of quantities, measurement of works, pricing notes, material quotes, tender document production.
* Update progress against tenders.
* Review enquiry information and collate information in line with the business management system.
* Understand scope of works and identify gaps or inconsistency in information.
* Contribute to tender risk and opportunity.
* Contribute to business minimum standards pre construction activities, including procurement scheduling, launch meetings, project team reviews, scope of works presentations to project teams and any design responsibilities.
* Work with other business units to produce accurate and comprehensive tender submissions.
* Engage procurement for material costs and availability.
* Seek a best value approach.
* Understand client drivers so their tenders reflect their requirements.
