Talent Accountancy & Finance are looking for an ambitious individual who is pro-active, eager to learn and takes prides in their work.

This is a newly created role with progression built in so ideal for anyone looking to begin (or continue) a career in Finance or Purchasing.

There is plenty of support from a very capable & supportive Financial Controller and with it being a newly created role the opportunity to make an immediate impact is huge.

The package for this role is a salary up to £25k DOE + study support if desired/required.

Youd be working from the companys Bolton office and will play a key role in ensuring Purchasing & Purchase Ledger are running like clockwork on a monthly basis.

The package on offer for this role is as follows:

The Role

As a member of the Finance team, you will be supporting with both purchasing tasks and across the transactional ledgers.

Some of the main tasks include:

* Matching POs to delivery notes

* Creating Purchase Orders from requests from other departments & colleagues

* Liaising with suppliers dealing with queries and building strong relationships

* Working closely with Purchase Ledger Clerk to ensure deliveries, POs & invoices all match

* Updating pricing with suppliers

* Ad hoc filing and maintenance of order book

* Reconciling customer accounts

* Generating sales invoicing

* General admin support for Finance team

* Assisting with Credit Control duties

The Person

Depending on where your preference lies once youve got your feet under the table in this role, there are options to pursue a career in Purchasing and becoming more involved in the buying & merchandising for the company, or alternatively down a more traditional Finance route and pushing more into Management Accounts as you develop in the role.

Either option will be supported and backed by the company who are looking for someone with the right work ethic to come in and put their stamp on this role first.

Were looking for someone:

* With a can do attitude first and foremost!

* Willing to learn & takes pride in doing quality work

* Team player small time & a key role in Finance

* Excellent communicator both internally across departments and externally with suppliers

* A basic knowledge of accounting would be great, but most importantly is the eagerness to learn and get stuck in

* Good excel skills vlookups, pivot tables as the role will include manipulating decent sized excel files
