Deputy Manager - suported living for adults with learning disabilities, autism, Ashington, Northumberland. Excellent career opportunity for an existing Deputy Manager, or a confident and experienced Team Leader looking for a new challenge in a large supported living complex for adults with learning disabilties.My client is a national care provider with a number of high quality care services across the region, looking for a Deputy Manager to join their team. This is a high quality, supported living service with a number of self contained houses, set in its own grounds, for adults with learning disabilities and autism, with high standards and excellent resources. You will lead the staff team on a day to day basis, and deputise for the registered manager. The organisation has an excellent working environment, providing excellent levels of genuinely person-centred care, varied activities and facilities, and an emphasis on enabling your clients to live as rewarding and independent lives as possible.
This is a great chance for you to develop your career, the registered manager is hands-on and will support and guide you along with a regional support team, and you will be mentored to take on more responsibility within the organisation, with future opportunities for progression to more senior management/registered manager.
What they are looking for is someone with skills and experience in team leading (you might be a Deputy Manager already or a Team Leader/Senior with ambition and experience) , who can set a good example and understands person-centred care. Any experience of working with people who display challenging behaviours will be of benefit, especially with any knowledge of positive behaviour support (they have a national PBS strategy and behavioural support team in place) You will have worked in a residential care setting, but more important is your passion for the care sector and a drive to make a difference every day to your clients
