Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Holidays: 33 days including bank holidays
Collingwood are an education organisation based in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. We design and deliver education and training programmes across the UK and also manage international programmes around the world. As part of our expansion we are looking for an IT Manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our multiple online platforms, IT systems, security, and compliance. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company's IT needs. The role is also externally facing, with the requirement for excellent communication with clients and delivery partners who utilise our programmes and platforms.
The successful candidate will have a proven professional experience in IT management, understand the IT security and compliance agenda, and have strong interpersonal skills. The ideal applicant will need to work regularly at our Holmfirth office, but can work remotely the rest of time if preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage information technology and computer systems
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
Manage IT developments through excellent communication across teams, both internal and external stakeholders
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
Identify problematic areas and implement technical and strategic solutions with key company partners
Audit systems and assess their outcomes
Preserve assets, information security and control structures
Audit company resources and budget upgrades in resources across the teamRequirements and skills:
Proven working experience as an IT Manager or similar
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
Expertise in data centre management and data governance
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
Ability and confidence to work with external partners to identify problems and implement fixes and quality improvements
Experience of understanding and implementing compliance policy (security, user access, GDPR) across IT platforms and systems
The ideal candidate will possess system management experience in Microsoft 365, WordPress, and web hostingCandidates with the experience or relevant job titles of; IT Service Manager, IT Manager, IT Team Leader, IT Services Manager, IT Director, IT Service Manager, IT Technical Manager may also be considered for this role
