Job summary
What you need to know about the roleThe Central Engineering Heavy Plant Garage undertakes a range of tyre fitting and tyre management duties across an extensive range of heavy plant equipment.
Working with the existing tyre fitter team reporting to the departmental shift controller, working a 4 on, 4 off shift rota, you will be expected to undertake a range of tyre fitting repairs, replacements to a high standard of precision and quality. You will also be expected to undertake other duties in and around the site. You will work to achieve workshop targets, customer service and health and safety objectives.
Using your skills to achieve business objectives, you will react to customer, quality and safety issues as they arise and utilise your knowledge, experience and skill to initiate corrective actions.

What we need to know about you
You must be qualified tyre fitter with a minimum 3-5 years experience.
Ideally, you will have tyre fitting experience working on earthmoving equipment ie loading shovels, dumpers, Kress Carriers, forklifts ranging from 10t to 100t You will be working within an industrial or heavy engineering environment. Essential to the role is the ability to adapt to a variety of systems. You must be flexible, have a desire to learn and develop.
