Job summary

Supreme Recruitment are looking for a Team Leader to join one of our Automotive clients based in Coleshill on a permanent basis.
Purpose of the Role:
To Manage and control the allocated Manufacturing Production Processes & Personnel, Monitoring, and reporting activities directly to the shift manager. Drive forward your designated areas and assist in any associated activities within the business to effectively meet all key measurable, objectives and targets.
Duties:
* Any other projects or tasks assigned to you by management team.
* Manage and control shift personnel and drive for continual improvement
* Undertake personal duties such as, Appraisals, disciplinary meetings, lateness /attendance RTWs on a day-to-day basis
* Achieve and maintain production specific objectives & targets set for the production process/ department.
* Ensure that all production process instructions and process parameters are available and adhered to.
* Ensure that all Quality procedures are adhered to.
* Ensure that all Non-Conforming parts are identified, and corrective actions taken
* Ensure that all operators use the correct PPE
* Drive 5s / Housekeeping within your team on a day-to-day basis
* Any accident and near miss raised to be logged and reported
* Ensure that all production reports KPI / Scrap are completed at the end of every shift
* Adherence to the company escalation procedure
Preferred Experience:
* Managerial, technical & administrative skills
* Qualifications ILM Level 3
* Proven management & communication skills.
* Strong, proactive communicator & team player
* In depth knowledge of basic manufacturing principles & processes.
* Knowledge of machine forming & water jet cutting process.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques.
* Knowledge of customer & plant-based Quality, Health & Safety and Environment requirements
* QAD knowledge (desirable)
* FLT licence (desirable)
* PC Literate, Excel / Word / Power Point.
* Minimum of 2 years Automotive or Team Leader experience
This is working on a set shift - Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm
