Job summary
A subsidiary of a $10 billion organisation based in Cambridgeshire providing solutions to various industries and developing new markets, is looking for a Demand and Supply Planner.Reporting to the Demand and Supply Manager and supporting senior members your aim is to provide support in the day to day of running of all operational and commercial matters for both customers and sub-contractors including production planning and promote a strong and positive relationship with all other operations.
Ideally, you will possess a relevant Degree or similar calibre with good organisational problem-solving skills, a team player with attention to detail and a great sense of humour!
Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain a standard of effective working that supports the strategic vision.
* Embed a strong working relationship with our partners in Taiwan and the Rest of the world.
* Manage the order fulfilment and invoicing processes, processing through the ERP system and liaise with internal departments/customers and subcontractors and support on completing documentation to facilitate all deliveries.
* Ensure that all orders are checked for correct lead times, pricing and MOQs prior to being entered into the ERP system.
* Plan, in parallel with the Manufacturing manager and the Demand and Supply Manager, supporting production for stock and orders.
* Escalate to your line manager any orders at risk of not being fulfilled and/or not meeting agreed service delivery performance criteria.
* Regularly complete and provide open order reviews and reports for customers and sub-contractors.
* Ensure that the ERP/MRP system is accurately maintained.
* Ensure the CRM system is accurately maintained.
* Ensure the daily logs are kept up to date and supporting information on time with accuracy
* Assist in ensure all queries effectively to customers and subcontractors within 48 hours.
* Ensure that a very high level of customer and sub-contractor care is always maintained.
* Participate in team meetings, taking and distributing minutes and following up actions.
* Review complex queries to the Commercial Manager within the agreed target response time.
* Assist in the maintenance of shipping Instructions and hard copy files. This includes ensuring that the ERP system is consistent with agreed input formats.
* Ensure that all customer shipping documents are compiled and sent to customers and/or their broker in advance of critical dates.
* Be aware of and assist in the resolution of all customer and sub-contractor enquiries and issues including resolution of formal non-conformances.
* Be responsible for taking incoming telephone calls and managing the door entry system.
* Meet and greet visitor and support the set of the board room meetings.
* Maintain/update departmental work instructions/procedures in accordance with quality.
