Job summary
My client has a longstanding history of providing damp-proofing and insulation services. They have expanded their offerings to now include the refurbishment of vacant properties for social housing. As a rapidly growing small company, they are in the process of creating a new role for a Commercial Manager who can evolve with the organization. The ideal candidate for this position should possess experience in quantity surveying and the financial management of small-value construction projects.Key responsibilities for the role encompass:
* Collaborating with the schedule of rates to ensure precise control over project finances
* Conducting cost reviews on all projects and documenting variations in job scope
* Managing and composing tenders
* Performing monthly overhead calculations
* Exercising control over fleet and fuel card expenditures
* Providing supplier account access for installers
* Planning resources and consistently optimizing procurement costs with suppliers
* Taking charge of developing, leading, and implementing commercial strategies
* Monitoring the financial progress of projects through client and in-house IT systems
About the ideal candidate:
* A problem-solver with a positive attitude and strong commercial acumen
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry
* Experience in quantity surveying/commercial management is advantageous
* Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience
The compensation package includes:
* Salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000, depending on experience
* Company laptop

This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule. Construction experience of at least 5 years is a mandatory requirement for consideration
