Job summary

We are recruiting for a Franchise Business Development Manager for one of the UKs largest Grounds Maintenance Service providers who work across a variety of sectors that include Retail, Facilities Management, Local Authority, Corporate Commercial Facilities, Hotel and Leisure, Education, Infrastructure, Highways, Social Housing, Sports, Healthcare, Emergency Services, Ministry of Defence and Utilities. They operate from 40 locations within the UK, employ 600+ team members and deliver a grounds maintenance service to more than 10000 sites a year.
For 2024, they are seeking a new Franchise Business Development Manager with Grounds Maintenance experience who will take on responsibility for the South East.
On offer is a salary of between £50,000 and £55,000 a year, a bonus scheme, company car, laptop, mobile phone, 23 days holiday, company events, a home based opportunity from where you will be travelling extensively within the South East.
As the Franchise Business Development Manager, you will be joining an experienced Business Development team which means a detailed initial handover when you start as well as ongoing guidance to ensure you are fully supported as you learn your new role.
To be considered you will need to have grounds maintenance and/or landscape services experience, be both contract and commercially aware with strong business development skills and an understanding of operational management. All of which means this opportunity would suit sales professionals, operations managers, contracts managers, business owners and those working in a similar role developing franchisees within the grounds maintenance sector.
Now for the detail:
As the Franchise Business Development Manager, you will be managing a portfolio of franchisees and will be supporting them throughout their training, making sure they start off their business in the bst way and be working closely with them to ensure they are growing/developing a successful business in their local area.
This will include:
* Acting as the link between franchise business owners and Head Office.
* Ensuring your allocated franchisees are operating their businesses in the correct manner.
* Supporting the continued growth and business development of the companys franchisee and franchise network.
* Working alongside your fellow Franchise Business Development Managers, assisting in the day to day business development and management of franchisees.
* Analysing the sales processes and financial performance of the business to advise, motivate and train franchise owners and their staff to grow their business. This will involve monitoring KPIs, producing reports and sharing these reports and information with the wider business.
* Helping to prepare for and accompanying Franchisees on appointments with prospective customers.
* Providing in-house training on systems (including CRM) to promote efficiency and productivity.
* Training and mentoring your franchisees, supporting field training, working and setting business plans, identifying blockages to business growth, developing bespoke strategies to achieve business growth and increased profitability, monitoring and ensuring plans are followed and providing advice, guidance and information when dealing with issues.

To be considered as the Franchise Business Development Manager you are going to need:
* Grounds Maintenance and/or Landscape Services experience.
* To have worked as an Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, Business Development Manager, Franchise Business Development Manager or owned your own Grounds Maintenance company.
