REGISTERED CARE MANAGER - DOMICILIARY CARE
MILTON KEYNES, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE
Our client, a Franchise of a large Domiciliary and Live In Care company, is seeking a full-time Registered Care Manager or Care Manager to join their new team. The area to be covered is Milton Keynes and Bedford and the office is in the Milton Keynes area.
Based at the office and in the field, the Registered Care Manager will be responsible for ensuring the business follows all CQC requirements at all times and for providing strong management and leadership to all staff, and ensuring clients receive the best care service possible.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day operations of the business by allocating resources, monitoring performance and ensuring all CQC regulations are met for safe and effective home care services to clients within budget and while maintaining company values, alongside the Franchise Owner, and :
* To be responsible for client safety and commitment to safeguarding of vulnerable adults
* Provide any and all reports on the business as required
* Ensure top quality services and growth of the business
* Managing all DBS checks, Right To Work checks and regulatory compliance is done for all staff
* Ensuring the care levels provided meet the clients expectations and needs and liasing with clients continuously to check this
* Ensuring all training is monitored and recorded accordingly in line with regulations
* Staff performance management including staff appraisals, regular supervisory meetings and spot checks
* Take part in on call duties and assist in Domiciliary care when needed
* Liaising with clients and other care professionals to ensure their ongoing needs are met
* Maintaining accurate records and files of care workers and Clients
* To identify opportunities for growth within the business though effective relationships and engagement
* Ensuring all emergency on-call issues are dealt with, such as covering calls directly or securing and allocating staff when carers are absent or ill
* Attending external meetings and representing the service positively while also assisting the franchise owners in the growth and development of the business
Experience and Skills required :
* Compassionate and caring with a supportive and empathetic nature
* Professional with excellent time management and reliability skills and also the ability to be flexible with work schedule
* Experience in risk assessments for care services and individual care and support and knowledge of confidentiality, health and safety and abuse matters and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent administrative and computer literacy skills as well as strategy and implementation skills
* Experience in staff management - recruiting, training, supporting and supervising
* Previously have maintained clear and accurate records and followed statutory reporting and procedures
* Good understanding of regulatory responsibilities of a Registered Manager and all Domiciliary Care law
* NVQ5 Social Care
A satisfactory DBS check, full UK driving licence and own vehicle with relevant MOT as well as the above necessary qualifications will secure this role. The start date of between 1 February - 1 March is needed and a salary of between £36000 - £38000 is on offer, dependent on experience, performance bonus, 28 days holidays per year incl bank holidays.
