Job summary
Experienced Site Manager required to work as No2 to the Project Manager on a multi million pound data centre project near Oxford. The project has commenced on site in early stages and is part of a larger framework of projects for the end client.Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.
This project has just commenced on site and is due to complete late summer 2023.
This role is with the regional office of a Thames Valley based main contractor with a good pipeline of work in the surrounding area.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The contractor is a busy national contractor with a £70m annual turnover in the region, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the education, defence, local authority, blue light, commercial and student accommodation sectors.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
The successful candidate will have 5 years + of experience as an Assistant to Site Manager, will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating good technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills. Proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.
Ideally from a trades, construction management or engineering background with a sharp eye for detail, you will possess excellent communication and man management skills, be well organised and proactive.
You will have sound planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.
You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
You will be experienced in the Site Management role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery placing safety, quality, positive client relationship, and supply chain relationships as priorities
