Job summary
Manpower UK Print & Packaging Division are currently working on behalf of one of our prestigious partners to recruit a Technical Author / Validation Test Engineer to work as part of their documentation department based in Basildon. The role will involve working as part of a team to support Project Managers and Engineering Technicians on a variety of tasks. The role will initially focus on performing tests on machines within our factory using preprepared test protocols to support the verification process of the machines being supplied due to an increase in demand, which is intended to provide consistency in the testing approach from one to the next, whilst also learning how each machine operates. Alongside the testing activities, the role will also include:Reporting the outcome of tests and provide feedback to help improve the testing process.
Assisting Technical personnel with the review and update of Equipment Design.
Specifications and Qualification Documentation.
Liaising with all departments during the equipment build process.
Preparing equipment Operator and Technical Manuals in line with relevant machinery standards and essential health and safety requirements for UKCA/CE marking, functional safety, ATEX certification.As experience of the documentation requirements and machine functionality increases, the role will expand to include additional tasks such as:
Preparing Qualification Documentation expected by the Pharmaceutical Industry (DQ, IQ and OQ documents)
Preparing Equipment Design Specifications for reference by customers and internal staff
Interpreting customer User Requirements Specifications and support documentation
Liaising with suppliers and customers Validation departments during projects
Conducting Site Acceptance Tests at customers sitesThe successful applicant will need to demonstrate skills in mechanical, electrical and/or systems engineering (e.g. HNC trained engineering apprentice or engineering graduate with some previous work experience within an engineering environment) and have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Once a full understanding of the machines has been obtained there will be opportunities to develop a greater depth of understanding in a particular area of operations and provide technical support to our worldwide customer base, along with the option to travel.
