Job summary
Westwood Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Quality Engineer to join our client in Stockport on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Technical Manager, you will oversee and report on non-conformance as well as collaborate with suppliers and internal departments on implementing solutions for quality related issuesDuties and Responsibilities
* Ensure that quality and workmanship standards in compliance with BS EN ISO 9001 are consistently met.
* Assist in maintaining the Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) Log and generate monthly analysis reports for the Quality Manager. Ensure timely acquisition of explanation reports from both internal and supplier sources for NCR meetings.
* Monitor corrective/preventive actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Conduct Quality Improvement investigations, either independently or as part of a team, to resolve issues and track trends to enhance overall performance while reducing quality-related costs.
* Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed to facilitate necessary modifications to assemblies or individual components and identify associated costs. Collaborate with Purchasing and Production Control if NCR impacts production or delivery.
* Work closely with the manufacturing team to address technical challenges during production.
* Conduct internal audits.
Job Requirements
* Proficiency in reading and comprehending engineering drawings and specifications, with a focus on GD&T.
* Computer proficiency.
* Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
* Prior experience in Quality Engineering.
* Familiarity with FMEA, 5s, and other quality methodologies is advantageous.
