Job summary
As the world's leading security services partner, Securitas works with the world's best-known companies.And now, we're looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Fire Division as a Fire Extinguisher Engineer on a full time, permanent basis.
The position is a mobile role attending multiple sites in and around the Southwest, maintaining client's fire extinguisher equipment to ensure they are compliant, functional, and fit for purpose as part of the fire safety legislation.
Additionally you will have a number of development opportunities available within the role and we are looking for an individual who will take full advantage of this opportunity to develop.
Daily responsibilities for the Fire Extinguisher Engineer
Installation and service inspections on Fire Extinguishers.
Scheduling maintenance visits with new & existing clients
Management of own diary/schedule
Plan upcoming service requirements to ensure maintenance visit are completed in an effective manor and remain compliant with current regulations
Provide client with quotations on new or replacement extinguisher
Ordering & maintaining extinguisher stock levels
Maintain asset register and equipment for new/existing clients
Conduct site surveys for potential new business
Maintain knowledge of fire extinguisher products and current legislationPotential to develop role to includes -
Develop supplier contracts / relationships; Promote internally & externally using Securitas Branch network;
Deliver Fire Safety Training - Fire Warden / Fire Awareness;
Undertake Fire Risk Assessments to clients;
Essential Skills
At least 1 years experience as a Fire Extinguisher Engineer
BAFE SP101 qualification for fire extinguisher maintenance
Full UK Driving Licence (no endorsements).
Must be physically fit.
To have good written and verbal communication skills to liaise with the customer, stakeholders, and our team.
Proactive & attentive to detail.
Willingness to commit to working as part of a team.
