Job summary
Purpose of role:To ensure that production requirements are filled in good time and to the area required. Maintain the agreed levels of service, GMP, Health and Safety, Quality, Waste Management and standard levels of efficiency.
Dimensions of role: (if in relation to your area of responsibility):
Goods in.
Freezers/Cold stores
Despatch.
Warehouse.
Waste/Yard.
Reporting to shift manager and warehouse manager.
Special Features: (if applicable)
Ensure wastage minimised.
Deliver 100% service level for the Department.
Ensure you work to laid out procedures.
Adhering to all relevant CCPs.
Ensure the health and safety of yourself, co-workers & all visitors.
Ensure you work to the measures set.
Maintain high levels of GMP and ensure you follow clean as you go effective & complete the
Cleaning schedules.
Ensure all paperwork and reports are filled in correctly.
Completing Prestart on all equipment.
Report any engineering/equipment faults.
Segregation of waste materials into recyclable waste, Food waste and land fill.
Ensure that all deliveries are checked in accordance with SOP, s and safety instruction.

Key Tasks / Accountabilities
Operations management
Efficient operation and control of all resources in your area, by ensuring sufficient stock at appropriate locations.
Liaise closely with Production to ensure timely stock control and delivery/collection to and from lines.
Ensure all stock is located correctly.
Ensure all stock checks are carried out efficiently and accurately.
Continuous Improvement
Support initiatives for improving the accuracy of assets/production against forecasts.
Responsible for achieving personal development objectives.
Communications
Liaise closely with colleagues within and across function regarding planning/ production/quality matters.
Communicate with support functions (Production, Planning, Technical and site utilities service provider).
Participate in appropriate meetings.
Team Support
Contribute to team meetings.
Give advice and support to team members.
Work closely with other relationship holders, senior managers and knowledge.

Identify and agreeing personal development needs.
Take actions to address your personal development needs being pro active.
Keep up to date with product/service developments.
Develop technical skills.
Safety, Quality & Hygiene
Ensure safe operating practices, all policies and procedures are adhered to.
Support a culture that enhances behavioural awareness to reduce accidents and near misses.
Report any Quality issues to the Shift Manager or Warehouse Manager
Ensure all quality checks are completed correctly and follow procedures.
Check Forklift trucks, Dock levellers, waste management equipment and sign all prestart check sheets and report any faults.

Q A personnel
Outside contractors and suppliers
Promote team ethics and principles.
Maintain effective dialogue with all departments.

Person Specification
Essential
* Numerate and literate.
* Driving licence.
* Forklift truck licence(s) (Reach and counterbalance as a minimum).
* Experience in stock control/movement.
Desirable
* Experience in FMCG and SAP
