About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant at Secondary level in Newton Abbot, you will play a critical role in assisting students with special educational needs in overcoming obstacles and reaching their full potential. Your commitment to inclusive education will foster a friendly and supportive classroom atmosphere in which each student's individual abilities and qualities are recognized.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with instructors to provide targeted help to children with varying learning needs.
Assisting students with unique educational needs one-on-one to ensure their growth and development.
Creating a friendly and inclusive learning atmosphere that promotes student engagement and builds a love of learning.
Assisting with the development and structuring of instructional materials and resources.
Promoting a healthy school environment by nurturing students' social and emotional growth.
Requirements:
Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous for SEN Teaching Assistants.
A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting young learners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with students, staff, and parents.
Have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one with GSL.
