We now have an exciting, full-time opportunity for an Infrastructure Support Engineer to support us on continuing our journey, bringing with you experience to implement change, the passion to pro-actively solve technical problems and the ability to champion best practice.
Ideally, you will have a good understanding of ITIL methodologies along with strong Linux skills, Application support, Server Configuration, and Networking skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensuring all raised Issues are handled and resolved against agreed SLA's and processes including any Major Incidents.
· Recording of all data relating to incidents within the ticketing system ensuring full alignment to the Incident Management Process.
· Actively own and manage Problem & Post Incident records to conclusion/resolution.
· Exploring and delivering on opportunities to implement automation and scripting of services, infrastructure and toolsets.
· Collaborating closely with the technology teams, stakeholders and wider teams to achieve our ambitious goals.
· Explaining technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
· Gaining exposure to our technical teams and Business, working closely with the Technical Support Team, Operations and Development.
· To actively be part of the Out of Hours' Support Rota (Only applicable after completion of probation.
Essential Requirements
* In-depth, hands-on experience with Linux.
* In-depth knowledge on o365 and other Microsoft Services.
* Strong experience with Cisco, Ubiquiti, Meraki.
* Strong communication skills.
* Strong customer service approach and team player.
* Strong work ethic and ability to work in dynamic work environment.
* Strong scripting skills ideally in Bash, PowerShell.
* Good understanding of Monitoring and Logging including best practise.
Desirable Requirements
· MySQL experience.
· Experience with API gateway products.
· Familiarity with firewalls and LAN and Wi-Fi networking.
· Working within an Agile environment using both Kanban and Scrum (preferably using Jira).
· Knowledge on Security principals & best practices.
· Experience with MDM products such as InTune.
Qualifications & Skills
· Appropriate industry experience of working in a Support environment.
· Possessing an ITIL certification would be a huge asset OR be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the methods, Processes, and governance.
· Applicants must be high motivated, proactive and want to work to help shape the support we deliver.
· Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction and be able to demonstrate a passion for excellence with respect to treating and caring for customers.
· Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality with strong decision making and analytical abilities.
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed.
