About the roleDandara Living is recruiting a Contracts Manager (PM) to lead and support our portfolio of previously completed developments to enhance critical life safety systems. Assisting the Legacy team with the feasibility, design, and delivery of each project to ensure compliance with the Self Remediation Terms we agreed with the Department of Leveling Up Housing & Communities (DLUHC).
What you will do:
Pre-start site inspections and preparation of construction specific CDM pack and develop through construction plan.
Ensure adequate and suitable resources and available for effective site commencement.
Prepare, manage, monitor and administer construction programmes, contracts, agreements, licenses and specifications and compliance for all stakeholders, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about programme-specific matters.
Monitor Health & Safety performance to ensure compliance with legal obligations and company requirements.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, manage and control costs for non-productive and prelim expenditure to ensure budgets are adhered to.
Support Project Managers/Site Managers to ensure information, specification, scope of work and resources are available to maintain site progress, and that the on-site teams are fully resourced and well directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities and are provided with the necessary support in achieving these in terms of communication, training and development.
Identify site based risks and constraints and communicate these as appropriate.
Provide a professional interface with DLUHC, the building owners, leaseholders, Responsible Entities and all other stakeholders.
Monitor the recording of works, installations and other matters to ensure the business achieves the successful completion of the projects and obtains Fire Engineer approval for the works.
Assist the Legacy Director in all matters relating to the Division's efficient performance.
What you will have:
Desirable
Experience in the rectification of Building Facades and internal compartmentation is preferred.
Understanding the requirements of PAS9980 and the BSF
Essential
Extensive construction management experienceand demonstration of managing multiple projects, project teams and external stakeholders.
Thorough knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation - ability to identify and minimise risk through developing and endorsing safe operation processes.
