Production Controller - Leading Manufacturing company based in Nuneaton - £30,000 - £35,000.As the Production Controller you will be required to have an in depth knowledge and working experience of using the MIE Trak MRP system in a production environment (Preferably).
As Production Controller your primary job duties involve planning and securing the raw materials for products, maintaining the MIE Trak MRP, monitoring inventory, reviewing orders, and consulting with other departments about sales, production, logistics, and shipping.
You will ensure accurate record keeping within MIE Trak for all stock, parts, routers, outside processes, QC records, and other day-to-day activity to maintain the MRP. You will use MIE Trak to investigate discrepancies, produce reports, and answer questions regarding production activity.
Specific operational administration activities you will be expected to learn and carry out may vary in response to changing business needs and include:
Plan and secure raw materials in consultation with Directors and production managers
Work with the Workshop Manager and others in using MIE Trak to coordinate daily and ongoing production plans
Use MIE Trak to generate relevant reports for senior management and operational managers, including for productivity, efficiency, identifying stock requirements and providing forecasts
You will assist purchasing operations by obtaining up-to-date pricing information from suppliers, ordering materials through the ERP/MRP system, and actively monitoring delivery and lead time status on open orders
Document works instructions and routers in the MIE Trak system
Champion compliance with company procedures and MIE Trak record keeping by example and by assisting the Operations Director in providing training
Work with the Directors and other stakeholders to integrate ERP/MRP functions into all operational activities
You will become familiar with the range components, raw materials, suppliers and customers the company works with;
You will plan, lead stock and carry out counts of raw and finished parts to maintain accurate MIE Trak records
Trace discrepancies through the MIE Trak system
You will understand and communicate technical information relevant to the work of the company and apply that as you maintain the MIE Trak system and work with others
Assist the Directors in developing standard operating procedures in relation to the MIE Trak system that are compatible with ISO9001 accreditation and company policies
Carry out internal audits of the ERP/MRP system and standard operating procedures compliance;
You will assist the operational managers in day-to-day administration, data processing, document production, as needed
You will work to achieve targets both in your area of responsibility, and to assist the whole organization in achieving overall goals
Assist in developing the work environment in line with company policies through 5s and other appropriate methodologies
You will liaise with managers and other employees in the efficient and accurate execution of your duties
Use a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases
