Job summary
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lighting Design Engineer to work for a multi-award winning, market leader in the design and manufacture of high quality luminaries for the commercial, domestic, industrial and architectural markets.Multiple winners of LIA, MIDA and AWEBB awards, they are a fast-growing international business located in a modern office / warehouse on the A580 near Wigan.
Day to day duties for the Lighting Design Engineer will include:
* To design lighting schemes for projects of varying sizes and complexities for retail, hospitality, commercial, industrial, education, residential applications, external applications and high-end rendering.
* Developing lighting solutions for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications, including daylighting, control systems and emergency lighting.
* Ability to solve customers problems at design stage or after lighting installation.
* Strong demonstration of design communication.
* Attention to detail.
* Provide a lighting design solution based on customer brief, budget, and relevant standards.
* Attend meetings and prepare presentations to clients.
* Ability to manage own projects.
* Excellent in multi-task and organizational skills.
* Time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects.
* Ability to lead other team members in lighting projects and projects management.
* Experience with reading and coordinating electrical, interior design, structural and architectural drawings.
* A demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
Experience / Knowledge:
* Strong understanding of lighting technical knowledge
* Be experienced and confident with Dialux and Relux software
* Advanced knowledge in Lighting Guide (LG) & BS- EN-12464
* Be experienced in Photoshop, ZWCAD, MS Office
* Advanced knowledge in Emergency Lighting BS EN-5266 & IS 3217
* Advanced knowledge in ILP Guidance
* Possess Advanced knowledge of luminaires and light sources.
* Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of REVIT/BIM
