Job summary
Quantity SurveyorApproach Personnel are working on behalf of a construction company specialising in interior fit out and high end refurbishments. We are seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the construction company's schemes. You will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, analysing financial data, and providing expert advice on procurement and contract management. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and tender documents.
Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide reliable financial forecasts.
Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and control costs throughout the project life cycle.
Collaborate closely with project managers and contractors to ensure effective cost management.
Review and negotiate contracts, including terms and conditions, variations, and claims.
Assess and value work completed, manage payments, and maintain precise records.
Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contract management.
Identify and manage potential risks and opportunities to maximize project outcomes.
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost management
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficient in relevant software and technology used in quantity surveying.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
