Job summary
Electronics EngineerOur client is a world leader in the manufacturing of generating, measuring and eliminating static electricity in industrial applications. They tailor the solution they offer to their customers based on their needs. They are now looking to recruit an Electronics Engineer into their business. The role will predominantly be Bristol based with occasional travel to their site in Devon.
A hands-on role in a small multi-skilled research and development team responsible for developing new and exciting concepts and deploying these into production. You will be involved with all aspects of the product from initial conception to support after deployment. Further to this, you will be planning, and managing your own product development projects. This role includes flexible options for skill and career development.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Working with R&D engineers to progress concepts and prototypes into manufacturing.
Development, verification, and qualification of electronic designs in accordance with relevant standards through external certification and testing where appropriate.
Assisting with mechanical and software aspects of product development, including testing.
Design and fabrication of test equipment for product development, testing and manufacture.
Design for manufacture including Production Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
Maintain a "state of the art" knowledge of new technologies that apply to products through research and training.
Involvement in developing and continuously improving the Quality Management System
Manage own work area and assist with lab management and maintenance.
Observe all H & S rules and work in a manner which is safe for self and colleagues.

Desirable Skills and Experience:
Power electronics design.
High voltage electronic design.
Skilled in data analysis using MATLAB.
PCB design.
Product design experience and DFM.
Certification and compliance testing experience.
Microcontroller C programming experience.
