Audio Visual Business Development Manager - Manchester/Midlands

As a Business Development Manager with our client, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing relationships in the dynamic world of commercial TV, Digital Signage, Networks, and Wi-Fi. This role is business-to-business (B2B), primarily focusing on the Hospitality sector, with potential involvement in Healthcare, Student Accommodation, and Retail sectors. You will collaborate with key partners such as Samsung, LG, Philips, and Uniguest to provide innovative solutions to businesses.

Main Duties of the Role:

Drive sales of our client's solutions within the Hospitality market.
Utilize existing market knowledge and the company's client's customer base to boost sales.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, ensuring their ambitions and those of their client are met in terms of sales and gross profit.
Maintain an excellent understanding of their client's solutions, sharing this knowledge within the organization and effectively communicating with clients.

Accountabilities and Deliverables:

Generate new business by selling a range of products, including their client's broad portfolio of technology solutions, exceeding sales and profit targets while maximizing gross profit margin.
Identify opportunities to expand sales within their client's existing account relationships and proactively seek out new opportunities through market knowledge, contacts, and proactive marketing strategies.
Establish an excellent rapport with suppliers, particularly key partners, managing relationships, including negotiation of price and service terms.
Become established as a solution specialist within their client's organization and leverage the knowledge of colleagues to enhance your skill set.
Collaborate and support colleagues with technical and commercial issues, with a focus on sharing knowledge of their client's solutions.
Provide input and guidance to the Marketing team to facilitate general business and product development, including case studies, product information, and supplier updates.
Conduct customer visits, demonstrations, exhibition events, and other marketing activities, offering support to colleagues as needed.
Utilize a CRM system for lead generation, record-keeping, reporting on conversion rates, and monitoring market and product trends.
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of their client's technology offering and a good knowledge of other technical and product aspects.
Handle sales administration as required with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Assist colleagues in the Sales team with quotation preparation, especially when advice and guidance are needed.
Act as a customer or group specialist at defined clients with multiple UK sites when required.
Support the standards of the organization - the way in which they conduct their business internally and externally and the ways in which they behave.

Dimensions:

This role is home-based with potential for travel within the UK and Europe.
The role may require flexibility with working hours due to travel commitments, including visits to various Group sites, third-party premises, and possible overseas travel.

Role Holder Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar sales environment is essential.
Ideally, possess excellent knowledge of different TV & AV systems, Wi-Fi, network, streaming, and casting solutions.
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, databases, Word, and Outlook.
Effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional attention to detail.
Presentable and credible to both internal and external customers.
Experience, knowledge, and user experience of CRM systems.
Flexibility with working hours to accommodate travel requirements.

Package

Up to £55,000 basic salary depending on experience levels and skillsets
Commission OTE up to a further £30,000 pa
Car allowance (£6,000 pa)
