Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for providing top-notch IT support? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our clients team as an IT Service Operations Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of IT services at Yeovil and other assigned UK site locations. Key Responsibilities:
Ownership of IT Service Operation Processes: Become a recognised owner within IT Service Operations for core Service Operation Processes, including incident management, problem management, event management, access management, and request fulfilment.
Supporting Process Ownership: Take charge of various supporting processes such as Analytics, Communications, Customer Satisfaction, Catalogue Management, Knowledge Management, Data Analysis, Service and Performance Reporting, Service Transition interface, Continuous Service Improvement, and more.
Point of Contact: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for all IT-related matters, ensuring that each requirement is thoroughly analysed and directed for resolution within the IT team.
Proactive Support and Training: Proactively provide support, guidance, and training to the business as required in the use of IT facilities, empowering our colleagues to make the most of our IT resources.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger IT team to ensure a cohesive and efficient IT support structure.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Previous IT Helpdesk/Support Experience: Prior experience in an IT helpdesk or IT support team environment.
Proactive Problem Solver: Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications and Skills:
Team Player: Ability to work both individually and as part of a larger team.
Technical Proficiency: Experience and understanding of modern IT systems, configuration, and setup, including Desktop, Directory Services, Network, Servers, and Databases.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, ensuring a positive and efficient user experience.
ITIL Foundation Certificate: Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles is a plus.
IT Service Operation Processes: Familiarity with IT Service Operation Processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfilment, Access Management, and Event Management.
IT Service Lifecycle Stages: Knowledge of other IT Service lifecycle stages such as Service Transition and Continuous Service Improvement is an advantage.
Technical Expertise: Understanding of technical aspects related to Desktop, Directory Services, Network, Servers, Databases, and more.
This is a 12 month temporary contract with the potential to extend
37 hours per week, flexible
