Weekend Factory ManagerIt's rare to find a role that is such a key part of a print manufacturing business with minimal day to day oversight.
We're ideally looking for a print manufacturing, press or bindery experienced Factory Manager or Production Manager to join a large print site in the South West, responsible for all site manufacturing over weekends.
For you, the role could be a step up from a Supervisory role or a side step from Production Management into a large print manufacturer in a critical management role. The business is Pan-European printer and print manufacturer and you'd be joining a key UK manufacturing site reporting into the Operations Manager.
As Weekend Factory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing production across the weekend, responsible for health and safety standards and compliance, colour passing, overseeing press and bindery crews and engineering to achieve production schedules, resolving production problems and managing personnel challenges.
It's a dynamic role, very active on the shop floor and will require you to be a confident manager and problem solver, used to working in a complex and fast moving print production environment, potentially with experience in web offset, newspapers or packaging print production.
The business will consider applicants looking to relocate from other areas of the UK, and a big attraction of this role is its location and potential for quality of life improvements for the selected applicant.
