Behaviour Support AssistantLocation: Leicester
Salary: £75- £85 per day
Start Date: Immediately
GSL Education are currently recruiting behavioral and emotional support assistants for our schools in Leicester. In this role you will be working with children who are at danger of being excluded from mainstream education or who have already been excluded, you will be a support assistant who works either 1:1 or in small groups. In addition to having the flexibility to attend meetings with outside organisations beyond school hours if necessary, you will need to be able to work five days a week Monday to Friday during the academic year.
Key responsibilities:
To assist children in joining a variety of activity groups for children with special needs, mostly social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
To assist the school's work and gain a thorough grasp of what they do, in keeping with its objectives and ethos.
Be dedicated to preserving a high level of educational support.
To support the implementation of 1:1 behavioral intervention programs for pupils with autism, other developmental delays, or special needs.
Always maintain a professional demeanor.
The applicants must meet the following requirements for this particular role:
Enhanced DBS Certificate or willing to complete one.
Have a work permit for the UK.
Be committed to safeguarding.
Be aware of various complicated requirements, related learning challenges, and challenging behaviors.
Possess compassion, drive, vision, and passion for supporting young children with special behavioural needs.
