Syntech Recruitment are proudly working with a leading aerospace manufacturer who are based in the Hampshire area. Working within their modern facilities, they are seeking a skilled Engineering production planner / Purchasing Administrator to provide excellent support to the internal operations teams & external key clients/suppliers.
Essential Job Requirements
Able to read engineering drawings
At least 3 years purchasing Experience within an engineering / manufacturing environment
Familiar with Manufacturing Processes, Raw material specifications and costing methodologies
Comfortable with Negotiation
Working understanding of AS9100
Job Description
Providing effective co-ordination of multiple projects simultaneously to ensure suppliers, price, delivery timescales and quality standards are achieved.
Receiving multiple job packs of engineering drawings and procuring all parts associated with the bill of materials to meet production delivery targets
Maintain and input customer order information accurately
Progressing and chasing sales orders
Meet and exceed customer delivery time expectations
Complete Tender Pricing using approved suppliers
Effective liaison with Project Engineers on all relevant aspects of each project
Reporting on spend and forecast production capacity
The ideal candidate must have the above essential job requirements, and personality will be someone who is incredibly organised, commercially aware and a proactive decision maker/problem solver keen to be apart of an ambitious organisation with a very collaborative workforce.
