IMMEDIATE START!
Due to continued growth, our client is currently seeking a Senior Quality Inspector who will be responsible for overseeing the quality department.
You will work closely with the operations department to ensure parts and products are checked whilst also supporting customer delivery requirements whilst ensuring specified quality requirements are maintained.
As a senior quality inspector, you will be able to demonstrate managing a team of quality inspectors and technicians within a manufacturing organisation, including the selection, commissioning and use of precision measuring equipment, any experience of calibration methods and systems, knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FAIR etc., NDE, MSA, Process Capability and SPC would be highly advantageous.

Candidate
* Able to demonstrate managing a team of inspectors and technicians
* A strong collaborator with the ability to influence others and lead a team
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and competent at managing your own time effectively
* Have a can-do attitude, work calmly under pressure and work to deadlines and offer the right solution
* Excellent level of diligence and possess MS Office skills
Duties
* You will manage the quality control inspection resource allocating work and ensure daily/weekly targets are met.
* Able to use standard hand-held measuring equipment, surface plate equipment, CMM, comparator, fixed gauging, thread gauges etc. to measure to an elevated level of accuracy and precision.
* Complete final inspection of machined parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies in accordance with the company drawings and procedures and complete final inspection of completed products including the witness of performance tests and final documentation records.
* You will work closely with product engineering to make sure correct inspection times are added to new jobs and provide feedback on existing jobs.
* Create maintain and perform risk assessments and COSHH documentation for the department and ensure they are in place and up to date.
Function as the quality control representative at daily business plan meetings
