The Role
The primary objective of the Property Team is to ensure a well maintained and compliant portfolio of 450 houses. This involves enhancing energy efficiency, futureproofing for Net Zero advancements, and maximizing rental income and capital value. The team is actively engaged in the management of Glebe property investments and provides support for property matters related to Diocese Church schools. This role is integral to sales, purchases, development initiatives, as well as major refurbishment/retrofit projects, aligning with the Church's overarching ambitions.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work as part of the Property team consisting of the Maintenance & Repairs and Sales & Transactions teams. You will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:
A Construction related degree and post qualification experience, ideally within the residential sector.
An understanding of the UK planning system, Building Regulations, and property market
The ability to confidently make decisions and recommendations in-line with legislation.
Flexible in your approach, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational and monitoring skills
Knowledge of construction contracts
In return there will be many opportunities for you to improve your skillset, gain new experiences and develop career pathways within Net Zero.
You do not need to be a practising Christian or have a faith to work with the organisation - around 50% of staff are not practising Christians but are comfortable with the Christian ethos. However, all staff do have a desire to make a difference.
The Organisation
The employer is the administrative area of the Church of England that, broadly speaking, covers the three counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. There are 815 churches in the Diocese more than any other diocese in the Church of England. So, in many ways, the best description is that it is the family of the 55,000 or so regular worshippers in these churches.
You may also have experience in areas such as Property Surveyor, Chartered Surveyor, Surveyor, Land and Building Surveyor, Development Surveyor, RICS qualified, Land Agent / Surveyor, Associate Surveyor, Property Surveyor, Rural Estate Surveyor, Development Surveyor, Estates and Development Surveyor etc.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is being advertised by NFP People on behalf of the organisation
