Balfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Foreman within the Precast Segmental Viaducts team. This role will be based on site in in Water Orton. Delta Junction will cover a 14 KM stretch within the Water Orton area. The sublot will be responsible for major structures including bridges, viaducts & embankments. This is a great environment to grow due to the complexity of the work involved.

What you'll be doing
Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and encourages others to work safely through training, briefings and by his self-exemplarity
Be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
Ensures that their staff receive or have access to copies of the Environmental Policy and are kept informed of environmental developments and issues
Delivers the works in accordance with safe system of works described in the Method Statements and the Risk Assessments
Carries out Safety & Environment Tours as required by the Project H&S Plan
Contributes to Accident / Incident Investigations. Directs the appropriate action arising (HFACS and Four Page Reports)
Ensures that sufficient resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability
Be familiar with the BBV Management of the Temporary Works and reports any issues related to them
Monitors the competency of his/her supervisory staff and administers training / coaching as appropriate
Ensures ownership of Handover Documentation for the works and implements ITP processes to improve quality management on site
Who we're looking for
Experience as a General Foreman on Civil Engineering major construction projects
Holds a current driving license, CSCS Card, SMSTS and is a First Aider

Working together for over 30 years, Balfour Beatty VINCI have been successful in delivering several significant infrastructures; creating unrivalled expertise and capability across rail, highways and aviation sectors in the UK and beyond. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and on to Handsacre in Staffordshire. Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:
42 viaducts totalling over 11km
66 overbridges
More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km
56 culverts
66 embankments reaching over 33km
Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures
Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
