Job summary

We are looking for full and part-time support workers to support our clients on a regular basis.

Job Types: Full-time and Part Time

Salary: £10.42-£12.50 per hour offering double hourly rate for bank holidays

Job Description:

* To make each day the person you support have a positive outcome for them.

* To help maintain the individuals skill level and to develop new ones.

* To support individuals, live the life they want to lead, make decisions, have as many choices about their lives as possible and be supported to take appropriate risks.

* To support individuals access facilities in the local community and take part in activities outside of their home.

* To support individuals to look after their home, cooking, shopping, keeping it clean, tidy and safe.

* To support individuals, look after their health and take any medication.

* Help individuals with personal care (e.g., washing, bathing, shaving, going to the toilet)

You will be expected to:

* Always treat the individual(s) with dignity and respect

* Be aware of, and follow the procedure for, reporting any safeguarding concerns or incidents, keep accurate records.

* Attend training, attend team meetings, and supervisions.

* Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the individuals you support and your colleagues.

* Work as part of a team and to support colleagues to do their jobs.

* Work with other people as required including attending meetings (either internally or externally).

* Drive car/people carrier if you are qualified to do so.

* Undertake any other appropriate duties as required by the individual(s) that you support, perform all duties in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures.

* Be able to effectively communicate with patients.

* Have a positive friendly energy.

* Reliable

* Ensure confidentiality is always respected.
