The Opportunity

Our client -a leading provider of technology solutions for the yachting industry - is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Installation Technician to join their dedicated team.

You will play a vital role in installing and configuring audio visual systems on luxury yachts, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional audio visual experiences. Key Responsibilities:

Audio Visual System Installation:

Perform installation and integration of audio visual systems, including audio equipment, video displays, lighting systems, and control interfaces, on luxury yachts, ensuring proper positioning, connectivity, and functionality.

System Testing and Calibration:

Conduct thorough testing and calibration of audio visual systems to ensure optimal performance, audio clarity, video quality, and synchronisation.

Cable Management:

Properly route, dress, and secure audio, video, and control cables to maintain a clean and organised installation, adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Equipment Rack Assembly:

Assemble and configure equipment racks, ensuring proper ventilation, cable management, and integration of audio visual components.

System Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system installations, configurations, and wiring diagrams, ensuring ease of troubleshooting and future modifications.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and yacht crew, to ensure effective communication, coordination, and successful completion of installation projects.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their questions and concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the audio visual installation.

Industry Knowledge:

Stay updated with the latest audio visual technologies, installation techniques, and best practices within the yachting industry, and apply them to deliver high-quality installations.

Based near Winchester, salary will be £28k -£30k plus benefits, worldwide travel and training

Your skills and experience

Some proven experience in audio visual system installation, integration, and troubleshooting, preferably in a professional setting.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of audio visual equipment, cables, connectors, and installation techniques. Familiarity with audio and video signal routing, compression, and distribution.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous approach to installations, with an emphasis on cable management, equipment positioning, and system calibration.

Problem-Solving Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify and resolve installation-related issues.

Communication Skills:

Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and team members in a professional manner.

Adaptability:

Willingness to work in various environments, including confined spaces, elevated heights, and outdoor conditions, as required by the installation projects.

Team Player:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and departments.

This position requires frequent international travel to luxury yacht destinations worldwide. As an Audio Visual Installation Technician, you will have the unique opportunity to work on projects in various global locations within the exclusive world of luxury yachting.

A valid passport is required for this role, as you will travel to different countries to install and configure audio visual systems on luxury yachts.
