Mechanical Estimator, Shrewsbury£55,000 - £65,000 + Package
My client has an exciting opportunity available within the new mechanical arm of the business, currently working across a variety of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Residential, Commercial M.O.D. etc offering a design and build service. The newly formed mechanical division will be offering installation, service, maintenance, design of - heating, plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning, ASHP to the market. Typical values range from £50k - £3M
The Estimator will be based local to Shrewsbury and will need to have a proven background of preparing detailed costings and specification for mechanical packages as well as a solid understanding and knowledge of system design, building regulations and an understanding of H&S within the industry
Duties
* Confident in design & build and value engineering during tender process
* Attend varied client sites across a range of sectors surveying works and manage the end to end process of receiving the tender and submitting the quotation
* To be able to head up the estimating and speciation writing of the mechanical arm of the business
* Managing client relationships, identifying opportunities for new contracts
* Present tenders to directors for review prior to final submission
* Working closely with bid team, project managers and directors
* Attend handover meetings with contract team upon successful tenders
Essential Skills
* Mechanical services experience within the commercial and industrial sector
* Previous experience within design and build mechanical projects
* Produce tenders and quotations from specifications and drawings
* Good computing skills
* Based within a commutable distance of Shrewsbury
* Willingness to further training and qualifications
