Are you a passionate sports graduate with a drive to make a positive impact on the lives of young people? We are seeking dynamic individuals to join schools in Southampton and Hampshire, supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs in schools.
Responsibilities:
Mentoring and Support: Provide one-on-one and group mentoring sessions for students with SEMH needs, using sports as a medium for engagement and personal development.
Developing Personalized Plans: Collaborate with school staff to create personalised plans for students, incorporating sports activities to address their specific SEMH challenges.
Promoting Well-being: Foster a positive and inclusive environment through sports activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
Behavioral Intervention: Utilize your sports expertise to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
Collaboration with School Staff: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to implement strategies that support the overall well-being and academic success of students.
Monitoring Progress: Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students, adjusting interventions and strategies as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
Passion for working with young people and a commitment to promoting their well-being.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies for supporting students in this area.
