What will you be doing?
Assist the Shift Team Leader with the operation and monitoring of plant from a Central Control Room.
Operator plant and equipment as required including, mobile plant and refuse cranes.
Assist in ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit.
Carry out routine plant inspections and adjustments / operations as required.
Collect and record plant data.
Monitor stock and take receipt of consumables / collection of residues .
Ensure a safe and efficient operation of all activities on site including a waste-fired high-pressure boiler and generator, together with associated auxiliary plant
First-line fault diagnosis
What are we looking for?
Appropriate NVQ for the duties above
Experience of mechanical & electrical plant with experience of plant operations, ideally gained within an engineering role
Experience gained through working in a continuous process environment
Ability to operate (or train to operate) a variety of mobile equipment and fixed plant
Ability to work a continuous rotating shift pattern
