Purpose of the role: Accountable for the development, management and implementation of Account Plans in order to meet sales targets and execute Bristol Myers Squibb brand plans.
Role and Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: Responsible for meeting territory sales targets for promoted products.
Proactively Collaborates with Local Healthcare Partners.
Drive Account Management Excellence, develop and deliver Account Plans and ensure completion of Account activities as directed.
Support and implement Bristol Myers Squibb corporate initiatives at territory level.
Ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance are maintained in the field according to the ABPI/IPHA/code and Bristol Myers Squibb SOPs and work practices Business Management: Provide a monthly business update reflecting key successes, issues and business drivers.
Participate in and contribute to regular cross-functional account reviews.
Complete midyear and annual reviews.
Agree territory objectives in line with the brand imperatives.
Agree and set KPIs for Account Plans with NBM.
Manage and deploy Territory budgets according to the business needs.
Team Working and Development: Support own development through implementation of Individual Development Plans.
Promote a culture of reward and recognition.
Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal business partners.
Support NBM to ensure a successful on-boarding for all new starters.
Supporting our Brands: Keep abreast of the Healthcare Environment and actively demonstrate by using that knowledge to identify opportunities in the Market Place.
Drive the implementation of all promotional activities to deliver the strategic imperatives.
Input into brand planning process as directed.
Ensure product knowledge is at industry leading standard.
Identify, build relationships and create plans for Key Opinion Leaders to support our brands.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements: Relevant degree in Business or Science; relevant sales experience.
Proven ABPI Qualification mandatory.
Therapy area experience; MS/Neurology desirable.
Specialist product launch experience desirable.
Other relevant experience; sales training, marketing, knowledge of NHS or equivalent, sales operations or field based clinical experience.
Business Insight understand the core issues that affect and influence the territory business.
Demonstrated history of effective interpersonal skills, ability to provide feedback, strong written and verbal skills, good presentation skills, an effective evaluator of own performance, good analytical ability.
Advanced understanding of principles of account management and project management.
Thorough understanding of the NHS or equivalent structure and strategies and how this impacts on the business.
Ability to Collaborate and work cross-functionally.
KOL and Advocacy management: Ability to develop effective relationships with customers at all levels.
Demonstration of ability to understand and work within a highly complex scientific marketplace.
Ability to think strategically and develop long-term business plans.
