Job summary
As the Project Manager, reporting directly into the Programme Manager, you will oversee, from a project based perspective, the companys R&D team and all projects they undertake. By building and maintaining effective relationships with all members of the R&D team you will support them in achieving their goals and manage their time and tasks effectively in order to ensure they hit agreed deadlines. Along with management of the R&D team, you will also be responsible for analysing briefs (Tenders), writing progress reports, identifying risks, and developing work schedules.Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager
* Ensure clear task prioritisation through the use of the YouTrack/Jira agile project management system and regular team meetings
* Liaising with team members, management, and customers to ensure projects are completed to the required standard.
* Working with the R&D team to identify and communicate risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place as soon as possible to keep projects and tasks on track.
* Multi-disciplined approach, focused on supporting all R&D teams in problem solving
* Provide mediation between different discipline (electronic, mechanical) engineers in order to ensure effective communication between R&D teams and team members.
* Ultimate responsibility for timely project completion and delivery.
* Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
* Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
* Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes, flagging any issues as they come up and without delays (so knock on effect is identified and plans are updated).
* Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.
* Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
* Line management of R&D team leads
* Ensure effective communication and handover of completed development work to the production department.

* Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams (direct & indirect)
* Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Proven track record of process improvement
* Proven track record of complex project delivery
* Procient in agile project management & iterative product development
* Procient with project management & administrative software
* Experienced in risk management and budgeting
* Background in engineering (Electronic/Mechanical/Software)
* Experience dealing with high prole customers/clients
