Job Outline:
A leading developer of fiberoptic technologies is now looking to expand their senior Engineering Management team, with the introduction of an Production Manager.
This hands on role, will see you managing a team for the delivery of multi-disciplined engineering projects to target in a fast-paced mid-size company.
The role will involve product development, project management, staff management, and hands-on engineering, where a collaborative attitude and interpersonal skills are important.
You will manage, coach, and support a broad team - design, development, test, and process engineers and technicians.
As Production Manager, you will implement, monitor, and develop the technology roadmap - providing fiber optic solutions for multiple end markets.
Coordinating the activity of all internal teams involved, you will ensure all project timelines and budgets are met.
As a proactive member of the engineering team you will be performing hands-on development activities.
You will work closely with manufacturing, procurement, and sales for new product delivery.
Through your involvement with all key stakeholders, you will communicate the development team goals and performance to senior management.
Experience:
As the successful Production Manager, you should have previous experience working with Fiber Optics, in a similar manufacturing environment.
With previous experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, you will be confident working with and leading internal teams to ensure all project timelines and budgets are met.
Qualifications:
Ideally you should hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, with at least 3 years' of management experience.
