Group Tax Manager About The Role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for the direct and indirect tax matters across various group entities. This will be the main point of contact for cross-border tax issues within this group of companies. This role offers the opportunity for you to put your own identify to a newly created role, working within a fabulous working culture and environment. This position could suit someone either already working in Industry or looking to make the move in to an industry position.
This position will be involved in the companys current and future initiative, liaising with the appropriate consulting firms to minimise tax issues, whilst ensuring that the international tax compliance is achieved.
Your responsibilities will incorporate the following:
* Maintain an awareness and understanding of international tax developments impacting the group and its entities, offering expert advice and guidance on tax matters to the finance teams
* Conduct comprehensive investigations to identify and advise on potential (direct and indirect) tax exposures arising from the activities of group companies
* Manage all Permanent Establishment (PE) reporting obligations including, but not limited to, PEs in India and Norway
* Provide strategic tax advice pertaining to business model changes including the expansion of service revenue, the introduction of online shops, licensing and subscription revenues and construction supervisory/oversight activities
* Manage any UK specific corporate tax processes including, but not limited to patent box claims, SME R&D enhanced expenditure reliefs and RDEC tax credits
* Collaborate with relevant finance team members to maintain UK Transfer Pricing Local Files for all UK entities, produce the Group Master file and Group country-by-country reports on an annual basis.
The successful Group Tax Manager will have:
* A full accounting qualification - ICAEW / ACCA / ATT / CTA with 5 years post qualification experience
* Knowledge of indirect taxation including VAT, GST and other Country sales taxes
* Experience of working with the UK R&D reliefs, RDEC tax credits and the Patent Box
* Woking knowledge of transfer pricing
