Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and driven Head of Communications to join our business and play a key, strategic role in developing and leading our internal and external communications globally. This is a highly visible role within the business which will play a critical part in delivering a best-in-class, internal and external communications function.This role is responsible for defining our mar-comms strategy, developing our capabilities, and delivering executable success across internal and external communications, PR and content. You will also have the ability to influence and support our wider marketing initiatives across OOH and brand.
Working alongside the Marketing Director, your role will deliver upwards towards our high-level business growth objectives, ensuring the communications function is contributing successfully to our ambitious goals and leading excellence inside and outside the business.
You will be a senior communications specialist with experience working in scale-up businesses that have achieved significant commercial growth through to acquisition. You will be an amazing communicator and collaborator at every level, using your energy to influence and energise the department, and genuinely challenge the status quo. There is huge growth potential and opportunity to progress your career in this role with promotion to Communications Director possible within the first 12 months, but you will also enjoy getting your hands dirty by implementing your strategy and working on the ground to develop and inspire our team and business.
Key Responsibilities
· Create an inside and outside communications plan which contributes strategically to our business growth goals in the UK and U.S markets across the next 3 years.
· Understand the levers we can pull and define how each marketing and communications channel can contribute effectively to the plan. Set strategy, goals and KPIs.
· Drive our PR strategy through strategic media coverage, seasonal and reactive campaigns.
· Lead our content vision and strategy across each online channels (website, blogs, publishers, social media) as well as traditional channels, ensuring continuous focus on customer value and USPs.
· Define our tone of voice both externally and internally, ensuring your direct team and wider business departments are using this effectively and consistently in all communications and content.
· Own the business communications from Senior Leadership to our employees to ensure that we are driving our vision and mission through to each corner of the business and providing value in what we say, and how we do it.
· Work with our Product and Tech functions to ensure there is a shared and seamless understanding of our development and feature roadmap. Translate this into effective product marketing initiatives internally, as well as to jobseekers, customers and prospects.
· Define our communications strategy, techniques and deliverables to our future customers, with a focus on the U.K enterprise market and U.S staffing sector.
· Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, industry influencers, and media outlets.
· Analyse market data and customer feedback to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
Requirements
You will currently be working in a communications leadership capacity, looking for your next challenge.
· We are looking for highly experienced candidates who have established their careers in pure-play digital brands, with successful scale-up experience. Experience in the acquisition and investment journey will be highly advantageous.
10+ years proven experience working in marketing and communications for high growth businesses.
· Demonstrated success in developing and implementing successful communications strategies which have delivered tangible business advantage and value.
· Desire and willingness to roll up your sleeves and solve problems in an agile, fast-paced environment, with the ability to ensure the function remains focused on its goals.
· Experience with communication channel execution and experience of delivering this us-ing a variety of channels including media, out-of-home, events, content, PR, internal communications and direct customer communications.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
· Analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights for decision-making
