Job summary
We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician/Engineer to join our client's growing team based within Teesside Industrial Estate - Thornaby.Our client is an innovative, market-leading business specialises in the process design and manufacture of precision components for the medical device sector, serving customers across a global market. They have a unique capability for high-volume, high-accuracy and economic production with integrated quality management systems. Due to strong growth, the business has recently opened a facility in the USA and expanded into a larger manufacturing site on Teesside.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager and work within the Process Engineering and Maintenance department.
Your primary duties will be:
* Assist in control of preventative maintenance programme
* Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment.
* All aspects of factory services and infrastructure support
* Support of production processes for auxiliary equipment repair and refurbishment
* Basic operation of conventional, CNC, EDM and Laser based machines as required during maintenance and repairs
* Ensure that Health and Safety practices, as defined in the Company manual and housekeeping standards are rigorously enforced
* To operate in a safe and responsible manner with regards to your own person safety and other employees and ensure appropriate PPE is always utilised
* To be able to clearly understand and pass on all verbal and written instruction asking for clarification if necessary
* To develop improvements to methods and processes, encouraging an environment of continuous improvement
* To maintain discipline and ensure company rules are adhered to
* To ensure all equipment maintenance is carried out to the required schedules and procedures
* To ensure all relevant management is made aware of any concerns with components, products, equipment or facilities and to always ask for assistance if necessary
* To report any misuse of equipment, process, or materials
* To report when work is complete and/or no other task is immediately available
* To ensure that all documentation is filed and controlled in line with company procedures

* BS7671 Electrical Installation and testing
* IPAF
* Working at Heights/Harness Training
* IOSH Managing Safely
* FGAS
* Gas Safe
