Location: Close to Chertsey
Syntech Recruitment Solutions is excited to partner with our MedTech client to source an experienced Material Controller with a background in Warehouse/Packing/Despatch the role is located near Chertsey (not accessible by public transport, so your own vehicle is essential). The company is still moving through their start-up phase so the successful applicant would be joining at the perfect time! This position requires excellent attention to detail coupled with very good IT skills (to book goods in and out to ensure accurate records of parts and stock).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage stock control and expedite stock items to optimize holdings, ensuring timely availability.
Collaborate with purchasing, manufacturing, and design teams to achieve on-time delivery and effective stock control.
Oversee despatch duties, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of products.
Maintain accurate records, manage weekly and monthly stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs, while coordinating and controlling the order cycle.
Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and implement activities to enhance efficiency.
Establish and sustain problem-solving through daily self-management.
Demonstrate a business-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement, performance, reliability, and financial efficiency, maintaining a "can-do attitude."
Experience & Qualifications:
Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.
Detailed working knowledge and understanding of materials production and planning environments.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Proficiency in procurement and materials management systems.
Solid understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.
