Connect2Hampshire are recruiting for and behalf of Hampshire County Council for a Front of house/Administrator to be based at Swanwick secure lodge in Southampton.
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate staff to join the friendly and supportive workforce at Swanwick lodge, a secure children's home in the heart of Hampshire. Swanwick Lodge accommodates up to 10 young people aged 11-17 who have been placed in a secure residential setting for their own safety and wellbeing.
You will work as part of the Operations and the admin team at Swanwick Lodge to provide an excellent level of Customer service and administration provision that will contribute and help the home to support the young people in care and staff. You will be required to cover reception and administrative duties, delivering a frontline service ensuring a courteous and professional image of Swanwick Lodge is maintained. Greets all visitors, professionals and contractors in person and on the phone. Monitor CCTV, keys and provide administrative support includes sending reports, collecting date, raising invoices and issuing petty cash.
Typically looking for 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday & Friday (24-25 hours per week) 8am - 4:30pm with flexibility to swap working day and cover the occasional weekend or late evening.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
Good IT knowledge of systems including outlook Microsoft Word and excel
Previous admin experience in an office environment
Excellent customer service
Diplomatic and sensitive approach to callers, some who maybe irate or distressed
Well-developed analytical skills to assess and prioritise levels of urgency
Effective communication skills at all levels
Confident and assertive in an appropriate manner whilst remaining calm under pressure
Work in a meticulous and methodical way and prioritising situations whilst multitasking
The ability to work alone and as part of a team and understand the need for contribution and flexibility.
Recognise signs of stress in oneself and others and respond appropriately
Use initiative to solve day-to-day problems as they arrive within given parameters
