Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join our talent pool. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, ensuring they receive the guidance and assistance necessary for academic and personal development. We work with multiple schools in and around the Grantham area including multi academy Trusts and would love to hear from you if you could see yourself making a difference in education.
Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs within the classroom setting.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualised and behaviour plans.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting emotional well-being and social development.
Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to relevant parties.
Assist in the creation and implementation of tailored resources to support SEMH students in their learning journey.
Work closely with external agencies, parents, and colleagues to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in education, Sports, Psychology, Performing Arts etc. is beneficial
Team Teach training or equivalent is highly desirable.
Previous experience working with students with SEMH or SEND needs.
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions including de-escalation tactics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Skills and Attributes:
