Education: Higher education qualification in a technical or scientific field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience/Background:

Experience in writing technical reports and presenting results to non-technical audiences
Project management experience, experimental design, familiarity with common statistical techniques
Exposure to a regulated industry environment
Scientific role experience in product development or manufacturing processes and laboratory testingMain Purpose of Role: The primary responsibility of this position is to support product research and development and operational activities through scientific experimentation and prototype fabrication. The role involves testing products or materials, analyzing, reporting, and reviewing results. This includes leading and planning a series of experiments, interpreting the outcomes, and providing recommendations based on these findings.

Main Responsibilities:

Plan and prioritize experiments, project tasks, or prototypes and offer guidance for routine and innovative tasks.
Develop and revise protocols to meet objectives and provide input to protocols in the area of technical expertise.
Produce prototype products to support experiments and utilize analytical instruments, training others in their operation.
Independently design and execute experiments, analyze data, evaluate results, and make recommendations for improvements.
Prepare summaries of results, maintain records per laboratory practices and design control procedures, and produce technical reports and documents.
Interface with multiple functional groups, external contacts, or vendors for timely project completion.
Provide direction and support to less experienced team members and represent R&D interests within the business.
Participate in hiring evaluation and performance appraisals, provide feedback to management, and contribute to health and safety procedures.Standard benefits
